The Story
Shifu Chongwei Zhang began training at age 7 at the Chinese Wushu Academy — one of the most rigorous traditional martial arts training environments in the world. His progression to international competition level represents decades of dedicated practice in a system that demands both physical precision and deep technical knowledge.
As a MEAA graded stunt performer, Chongwei brings authentic Wushu movement to Australian productions, and teaches the Wushu Fundamentals series at Fight Creative alongside Yeye Zhou. Their combined experience gives students access to one of the most technically demanding and visually distinctive martial arts systems in film.
