Founded January 2021 by leading action directors and stunt coordinators including Kenji Tanigaki and Yuji Shimomura. A registered association and full member of the national performers' body Geidankyo, it gives stunt workers access to workers' compensation insurance, an annual safety seminar covering wire action and pyrotechnics, and founder-led workshops — the primary stunt-specific industry body in Japan, with over 20 supporting companies.

The government-designated umbrella federation for all performing artists in Japan, founded 1965 and covering actors, musicians, dancers and traditional arts. JAG joined as a full member in 2021, giving stunt workers access to industry advocacy, neighbouring-rights management through CPRA, and social welfare support.

Japan's dominant stunt talent agency, descending from Sonny Chiba's Japan Action Club (1970) and rebranded JAE in 2001. The primary supplier of action directors, suit actors and stunt performers for Kamen Rider, Super Sentai and major Toei tokusatsu, while also working across mainstream film and television. Runs its own training school and is a founding supporter of the Japan Action Guild.

Founded 1976 by veteran actor and martial artist Yasuaki Kurata, who worked throughout the Hong Kong action industry with Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Manages action actors and stunt performers, coordinates film and event action, and runs its own karate dojo. One of Japan's two historically dominant stunt bodies alongside JAE, with offices in Tokyo and Osaka.

Founded 1964 by swordplay master Kotaro Ohno, the group performed all stunt work and sword choreography for the original Kamen Rider and the early wave of Toei tokusatsu. Still active in stage and attraction work, and a landmark in Japanese action history. Note: the website is largely archival — check JAG-affiliated channels for current activity.

Japan Action Enterprise's in-house one-year program — now past its 50th annual intake — covering mat gymnastics, period sword fighting, modern fight choreography, Chinese martial arts, jazz dance, parkour, equestrian skills and scuba diving (C-card included). Classes run four days a week and feed directly into JAE's roster. Open audition held annually, usually January–March.

Launched April 2024 by the Japan Action Guild, this one-year part-time program trains 'action creators' — performers who can also direct, shoot and edit action. Taught by JAG's founding members including Tanigaki, Shimomura and Yokoyama, it accepts working adults and beginners, meeting one Saturday a month in person plus weekly remote sessions. The most accessible professional stunt pathway in Japan.
