Stunt & Action Industry Directory

An independent, unranked guide to Peru's stunt and screen-action industry — the government bodies that regulate and promote filming (DAFO and the Film in Peru commission), the handful of Lima-based stunt and dobles de acción teams working in features, TV and advertising, and the film schools and martial arts that feed the talent pipeline. Peru's film and location scene is growing fast; its dedicated stunt depth is still modest, and this page says so. No sponsorships, no rankings.

DAFO

Dirección del Audiovisual, la Fonografía y los Nuevos Medios

Government Audiovisual Directorate · Lima

The Ministry of Culture's audiovisual directorate (created 2013) — the top-level government body for Peruvian film. It administers the annual Estímulos Económicos film fund, runs the national register RENCA and a Gremios (guilds) directory — the closest thing Peru has to a central register of film workers. Any formal effort to professionalise stunt and action labour runs through DAFO.

Film in Peru

PROMPERÚ Film Commission

National Film Commission · Lima

PROMPERÚ's film-commission strategy promoting Peru as a filming destination — location information, permit guidance and logistics for national and international productions. An AFCI and LAFCN member, it has supported shoots including Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Don't Look Up and Queen of the South. The first port of call for a production bringing or hiring stunt crew in Peru. (Note: logistics and some tax exemptions, but no cash-rebate incentive as yet.)

Performers' representation

Ley del Artista (Law 28131) · SAIP / SINCA

Performers' Labour Framework · Lima

Peru's performer and audiovisual-worker representation is governed by the Ley del Artista, with bodies such as SAIP and SINCA. Listed honestly: there is no dedicated Peruvian stunt-performers' guild, and the general performer bodies operate mainly via Facebook and the press rather than a standalone site. Stunt workers are covered, if at all, under general artist/audiovisual labour law and the DAFO Gremios framework.

Stunt Groups & Action Teams

Perú Stunts

Stunt / Action-Double Agency · Lima

A Lima-based agency and informal school of film specialists providing dobles de acción for film, TV, advertising and live shows, and running free seminars to bring new performers in. The most clearly identifiable dedicated film-stunt team in Peru with an active, ongoing presence. Social-only — the link goes to its Instagram. (Not to be confused with Peru's separate motorcycle stunt-riding scene.)

Independent especialistas

Freelance Stunt Performers · Peru

Honestly: there is no second established, web-verifiable Peruvian stunt team comparable to Perú Stunts. Beyond that agency, action work is handled by individual especialistas and small ad-hoc crews engaged per production and booked through production-service companies and freelance marketplaces. A reflection that Peru's dedicated stunt sector is small and informally organised.

Lima

Academies & Training

EPIC

Escuela Peruana de la Industria Cinematográfica

Film & Animation School · Lima

A Lima film and animation institute offering three-year programmes in directing/production and in 3D animation & VFX, with hands-on production from the first semester and industry masterclasses. Not stunt-specific, but a core pipeline for the directors, producers and crew who commission and stage action sequences.

Toulouse Lautrec — Cinematografía

Audiovisual Institute · Lima

One of Peru's larger creative institutes, running a cinematography career built around professional kit (ARRI, Blackmagic) and partnerships with the New York Film Academy and Vancouver Film School. A mainstream training route into the Peruvian screen industry — a feeder for action-capable crew rather than stunt performance itself. (Other options include Escuela de Cine de Lima and UCAL.)
